gaim-antiSmileySpam is a Gaim (an Open Source, OS independent Instant Messaging software) plug-in.
I've written this plug-in just because I needed it: I was bothered by all the MSN emoticon that a lot of people use.
This plug-in allows to delete the "spam" smiles through special filters: it's possible to BLOCK all the smiles for a user or to create a list of "banned" smile for each users.

Configuring antiSmileySpam is really easy, because it uses a key-file (aka ".ini" file), a file that can be hand-written and with a intuitive syntax.
Is also possible to set some filters (not all at the moment) directly from the gaim GUI.

antiSmileySpam is tested on gaim 2.0. but it *should* work fine on gaim 1.5, too.
